Born in Charlotte, NC Bill Taylor has been interested in photography since the age of 10. Being exposed to his family scrapbooks and seeing New York through the lens of his ancestors had an immense impact on his love for image making. Bill fascination in contemporary and historical photographers from the likes of Irving Penn, Greg Girard, and Nobuyoshi Araki. Which later devloped into his love for motion picture. Bill Taylor documents the lives of his subjects with sensitivity and sympathy. His photographs and videos express his own desire to observe, understand, and reveal the complexity of people. He transforms intimately observed details and events into stories about individuals’ lives that reflect concerns and emotions common to all. Bill is currently based in New York working with Leander on their debut film.
